The Littelfuse SMCJ20CA is a 1500W bi-directional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient events. It offers a peak pulse power of 1500W for a 10/1000μs waveform.
The device has a reverse standoff voltage of 20V, a minimum breakdown voltage of 22.2V, and a maximum clamping voltage of 32.4V at 46.3A peak pulse current. It features typical leakage current less than 1μA when VBR min > 12V. The fast response time is typically less than 1.0ps from 0V to BV min.
This TVS diode is suitable for I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics. It is IEC 61000-4-2 ESD compliant (30kV air/contact) and IEC 61000-4-4 EFT compliant.
The SMCJ20CA is housed in a surface mount DO-214AB (SMC) package with a low profile and built-in strain relief. It is halogen free, RoHS compliant, and lead-free (Pb-free E3). The operating temperature range is -55°C to 150°C.
