The SMCJ170CA-13-F is a 1500W bidirectional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode from Diodes Incorporated. It is designed to protect sensitive electronic circuits from voltage transients induced by lightning, inductive load switching, and electrostatic discharge. The device features a glass passivated die construction for reliable performance.
This TVS diode offers a reverse standoff voltage of 170V and a maximum clamping voltage of 275V at a peak pulse current of 5.5A (10/1000µs waveform). It can dissipate up to 1500W of peak pulse power. The bidirectional configuration allows protection for both positive and negative voltage transients. The device has a fast response time and excellent clamping capability.
The SMCJ170CA-13-F is housed in a surface-mount DO-214AB (SMC) package, suitable for automated assembly. It is supplied in tape and reel packaging with 3000 pieces per reel. The device is RoHS3 compliant, lead-free, and halogen-free. It has an operating temperature range of -55°C to 150°C and a storage temperature range of -55°C to 175°C. Moisture sensitivity level is Level 1 (unlimited).
