The SMCJ15CA is a bidirectional TVS diode from Littelfuse, designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients. It offers 1500W peak pulse power capability (10/1000µs waveform) with a reverse standoff voltage of 15V, minimum breakdown voltage of 16.7V, and maximum clamping voltage of 24.4V at 61.5A peak pulse current. The device features low incremental surge resistance, fast response time (<1ps), and typical leakage current less than 1µA for VBR>12V. It is suitable for general purpose applications including I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and data lines in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics. The SMCJ15CA is surface mounted in a DO-214AB (SMC) package and operates over a temperature range of -55°C to 150°C. It is halogen free and RoHS compliant.
