The SMCJ150A-13-F is a 1500W transient voltage suppressor diode from Diodes Incorporated, designed for protecting sensitive electronics from voltage transients. It features a unidirectional structure with a reverse standoff voltage of 150V and a clamping voltage of 243V at a peak pulse current of 6.2A (10/1000µs waveform). The device utilizes a glass passivated die construction for fast response time and excellent clamping capability.
This TVS diode is rated for a peak pulse power dissipation of 1500W, making it suitable for high-energy surge protection. It operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to +150°C and can be stored between -55°C and +175°C. The package is a molded plastic DO-214AB (SMC) with UL94V-0 flammability rating, and the terminals are lead-free plated with matte tin finish, solderable per MIL-STD-202.
The SMCJ150A-13-F is supplied in tape and reel packaging with a standard quantity of 3000 pieces per reel. It is RoHS3 compliant, halogen and antimony free, and meets MSL Level 1 moisture sensitivity per J-STD-020. The device is not intended for automotive applications, which are covered under a separate datasheet for the 'Q' suffix parts.
