The SMCJ120CA is a bidirectional TVS diode from Littelfuse Inc. designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient events. It offers 1500W peak pulse power capability at 10/1000µs waveform with excellent clamping characteristics. Key electrical specifications include a typical reverse standoff voltage of 120V, minimum breakdown voltage of 133V, and maximum clamping voltage of 193V at 7.8A peak pulse current. The device features low incremental surge resistance, typical IR less than 1µA, and fast response time typically less than 1.0ps.
