The SMCJ10A is a unidirectional TVS diode from Littelfuse designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 10V and a maximum clamping voltage of 17V at a peak pulse current of 88.3A (10/1000µs waveform). With a peak pulse power dissipation of 1500W, it provides robust protection for I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer applications.
The device offers excellent clamping capability and low incremental surge resistance. It includes ESD protection up to 30kV (air and contact) per IEC 61000-4-2 and has a fast response time of less than 1.0ps from 0V to breakdown voltage. The operating junction temperature range is -55°C to 150°C, with storage from -65°C to 175°C.
The SMCJ10A is housed in a surface mount DO-214AB (SMC) package, suitable for automated assembly. It is halogen free and RoHS compliant (unverified), with Pb-free E3 terminal finish. The plastic package is flammability rated V-0 per UL standards.
