The SMCJ10A is a unidirectional TVS diode from Bourns designed to protect sensitive electronic circuits from voltage transients. It offers a peak pulse power dissipation of 1500W (10/1000µs waveform) with a reverse standoff voltage of 10V and a maximum clamping voltage of 17V at 88.3A peak pulse current. The device is not intended for power line protection and is rated for general purpose applications.
This TVS diode is housed in a DO-214AB (SMC) surface mount package, suitable for automated assembly. It operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 150°C. The part is unidirectional with a single channel.
