The Littelfuse SMCJ100A is a unidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events. It offers a 1500W peak pulse power capability at 10/1000μs waveform with a 100V reverse standoff voltage and a maximum clamping voltage of 162V at 9.3A peak pulse current.
This device features a fast response time of less than 1.0ps from 0V to breakdown voltage minimum, making it suitable for protecting I/O interfaces, VCC bus lines, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronic applications. It is designed for surface mounting in a DO-214AB (SMC) package and has an operating temperature range of -55°C to 150°C.
The SMCJ100A is halogen-free and RoHS compliant, with matte tin lead-free plated terminations. It meets MSL level 1 per J-STD-020 and is Pb-free E3 compliant.
