The SMCG8.0A-HR is a unidirectional Zener TVS diode from Littelfuse designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients. It features an 8V reverse standoff voltage and a maximum clamping voltage of 13.6V at 110.3A peak pulse current. The device can handle 1500W of peak pulse power (10/1000µs waveform) and offers a fast response time of less than 1.0ps.
This TVS diode is suitable for general-purpose applications, including I/O interface protection, VCC bus protection, and safeguarding circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics. It complies with IEC-61000-4-2 ESD requirements (30kV air, 30kV contact) and is rated for operating junction temperatures from -65°C to 150°C.
The SMCG8.0A-HR is housed in a surface mount DO-215AB (SMC Gull Wing) package, making it ideal for high-reliability applications requiring optimized board space. It is RoHS3 compliant (with exemptions), lead-free (Pb-free E3), and halogen-free.
