The SMBT70A-13-F is a 600W surface mount transient voltage suppressor diode from Diodes Incorporated, designed to protect sensitive electronic circuits from voltage transients. It features a 70V reverse standoff voltage (VRWM) and a maximum clamping voltage of 100V at a peak pulse current of 5.3A (10/1000µs waveform). The device offers a fast response time of typically less than 1ps, making it suitable for high-speed signal line protection.
This unidirectional TVS diode is built with a glass passivated die construction and is housed in a molded plastic DO-214AA (SMB) case with matte tin termination finish. The package is UL 94V-0 rated for flammability and weighs approximately 0.093 grams. It is suitable for 48V backplane telecom applications and general purpose transient protection.
The SMBT70A-13-F is RoHS3 compliant, lead-free, and halogen and antimony free ("Green" device). It has an MSL rating of Level 1 (unlimited) per J-STD-020D and operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 150°C.
