The SMBJ70CA-TR is a bidirectional Zener TVS diode from STMicroelectronics designed for general purpose transient voltage suppression. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 70V and a minimum breakdown voltage of 77.8V. The device clamps transient overvoltages to a maximum of 113V at a peak pulse current of 5.5A (10/1000µs waveform).
With a peak pulse power rating of 600W, this diode is suitable for protecting sensitive electronics from voltage spikes in a variety of applications. It is not intended for power line protection, making it ideal for signal and low-power supply lines.
