The SMBJ7.5A-E3/52 is a surface-mount TRANSZORB transient voltage suppressor from Vishay General Semiconductor. It is designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients induced by inductive load switching and lightning. This unidirectional device offers a peak pulse power of 600 W with a 10/1000 μs waveform and a clamping voltage of 12.9 V at the peak pulse current of 46.5 A.
The device uses a Zener technology with a glass passivated chip junction and provides very fast response time. It is housed in a DO-214AA (SMB) package with matte tin plated terminals, suitable for automated placement. The operating temperature range is -55°C to 150°C, and it meets MSL level 1 per J-STD-020.
