The SMBJ7.5A is a unidirectional Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diode from Littelfuse, designed for overvoltage protection in electronic circuits. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 7.5 V, a minimum breakdown voltage of 8.33 V, and a maximum clamping voltage of 12.9 V at a peak pulse current of 46.6 A (10/1000 µs waveform). With a peak pulse power dissipation of 600 W, it provides robust transient suppression.
The device is housed in a surface mount DO-214AA (SMB) package, suitable for automated assembly. It operates over a junction temperature range of -65°C to 150°C. The SMBJ7.5A is a single-channel, unidirectional diode, making it ideal for general purpose transient protection in applications such as power supplies, communication interfaces, and portable electronics.
