The SMBJ7.0CA is a bidirectional Zener TVS diode from Littelfuse designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events. It offers a reverse standoff voltage of 7V and a clamping voltage of 12V, with a peak pulse power dissipation of 600W (10/1000μs waveform). The device features a fast response time of less than 1.0 ps from 0V to VBR min and provides ESD protection up to 30kV (air and contact) per IEC 61000-4-2, as well as EFT protection per IEC 61000-4-4.
This TVS diode is housed in a surface mount DO-214AA (SMB) package with matte tin lead-free plating. It is halogen free, RoHS compliant, and meets MSL level 1 (unlimited). The device is suitable for protecting I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronic applications.
