The SMBJ6.5A-TR is a unidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode manufactured by STMicroelectronics. It is designed to protect sensitive electronic circuits from voltage transients induced by inductive load switching and lightning surges on power lines. With a reverse standoff voltage of 6.5V and a maximum clamping voltage of 11.2V, this device provides effective clamping of transient overvoltages.
The SMBJ6.5A-TR is rated for a peak pulse power dissipation of 600W at 10/1000μs waveform, with a maximum peak pulse current of 56A.
