The SMBJ6.0A-TR is a unidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode from STMicroelectronics, designed to protect sensitive electronic circuits from voltage transients. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 6V and a maximum clamping voltage of 10.3V at a peak pulse current of 61A (10/1000µs waveform). With a peak pulse power dissipation of 600W, this device is suitable for general-purpose overvoltage protection applications.
The device uses Zener technology and is configured as a single unidirectional channel. It does not include power line protection, making it ideal for signal line protection. The SMBJ6.0A-TR is surface-mountable and comes in a DO-214AA (SMB) package, with an operating temperature range of -55°C to 150°C.
