The Vishay Dale SMBJ58CA-E3/52 is a surface-mount Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diode designed for protecting sensitive electronics from voltage transients. It features a low profile DO-214AA (SMB) package, making it ideal for automated placement.
This TVS diode offers a 600W peak pulse power capability with a 10/1000 μs waveform. It has a working voltage range of 5V to 188V and a breakdown voltage range of 6.4V to 231V. The clamping voltage is specified at 93.6V. The device operates reliably across a wide temperature range of -55°C to 150°C.
Applications for the SMBJ58CA-E3/52 include protection against voltage transients induced by inductive load switching and lighting on ICs, MOSFETs, and signal lines in consumer, computer, industrial, and telecommunication systems. Its fast response time and excellent clamping capability ensure effective protection for sensitive components.
The component is constructed with a glass passivated chip junction and features matte tin plated leads, solderable per J-STD-002. It meets MSL level 1 requirements and is available in RoHS-compliant and halogen-free configurations.
