The SMBJ58A is a unidirectional Zener TVS diode from Bourns, designed for general purpose surge and ESD protection. It offers a peak pulse power dissipation of 600W with a clamping voltage of 93.6V at a peak pulse current of 6.5A. The device operates over a temperature range of -55°C to 150°C and is not intended for power line protection.
This TVS diode is suitable for applications requiring IEC 61000-4-2 ESD protection (Level 4), IEC 61000-4-4 EFT, and IEC 61000-4-5 surge immunity. It is housed in a surface mount DO-214AA (SMB) package, compatible with standard pick-and-place assembly processes.
