The Vishay Dale SMBJ58-E3/52 is a TRANSZORB® Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diode designed for protecting sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients. It features a low profile DO-214AA (SMB) package suitable for automated placement.
This unidirectional TVS diode has a working voltage of 58V and a clamping voltage of 93.6V. It provides 600W of peak pulse power dissipation capability with a 10/1000 μs waveform and a repetitive rate of 0.01%. The operating temperature range is -55°C to 150°C.
Typical applications include protection against voltage transients induced by inductive load switching and lighting on ICs, MOSFETs, and signal lines in consumer, computer, industrial, and telecommunication systems. Its fast response time and low incremental surge resistance make it ideal for sensitive electronics protection.
