The SMBJ54CA is a 600W bidirectional TVS diode from Littelfuse designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 54V and a maximum clamping voltage of 87.1V at a peak pulse current of 6.9A (10/1000μs waveform).
The device offers fast response time of less than 1ps from 0V to breakdown voltage and provides ESD protection up to 30kV (air and contact) per IEC 61000-4-2. It is housed in a DO-214AA (SMB) surface mount package with gull wing leads and operates over a temperature range of -65°C to 150°C.
The SMBJ54CA is RoHS compliant, halogen free, and has a flammability rating of UL 94 V-0. It is suitable for general purpose applications including I/O interface protection, VCC bus protection, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics.
