The Vishay Dale SMBJ5.0AHE3/52 is a surface-mount Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diode housed in an SMB (DO-214AA) package. It is designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients induced by inductive load switching and lighting.
This device features a 600W peak pulse power capability with a 10/1000 μs waveform. It offers excellent clamping capability and a very fast response time, making it suitable for protecting ICs, MOSFETs, and signal lines in consumer, computer, industrial, and telecommunication applications. The operating temperature range is -55°C to 150°C (TJ).
Key electrical characteristics include a working voltage (VWM) range of 5.0 V to 188 V and breakdown voltage (VBR) from 6.4 V to 231 V. The clamping voltage is 9.2 V at a peak pulse current of 65.2 A. The diode is available in unidirectional configurations.
