The SMBJ5.0A-13-F is a 600W surface mount transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode manufactured by Diodes Incorporated. It is designed to protect sensitive electronic circuits from voltage transients induced by lightning, inductive load switching, and electrostatic discharge.
This unidirectional device has a standoff voltage of 5.0V and a clamping voltage of 9.2V at a peak pulse current of 65.2A. It offers excellent clamping capability and is built with a glass passivated die construction for reliability.
The TVS diode is housed in a DO-214AA (SMB) surface mount package with matte tin finish terminals. It is RoHS compliant, halogen and antimony free, and has a moisture sensitivity level of 1. The operating temperature range is -55°C to 150°C.
It is suitable for general purpose applications requiring transient voltage protection in consumer, industrial, and automotive electronics.
