The SMBJ48CA is a bidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode manufactured by Littelfuse Inc. It provides overvoltage protection for sensitive electronics by clamping fast-rising voltage transients.
This diode offers a reverse standoff voltage of 48 V and a maximum clamping voltage of 77.4 V at a peak pulse current of 7.8 A (10/1000 µs waveform). It can handle up to 600 W of peak pulse power, making it suitable for surge protection in general purpose applications.
The SMBJ48CA is housed in a surface mount DO-214AA (SMB) package and operates over a junction temperature range of -65 °C to 150 °C. It is RoHS compliant and rated for MSL Level 1 (unlimited).
