The SMBJ43CA is a 600W bidirectional TVS diode from Littelfuse Inc., designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient events. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 43V and a clamping voltage of 69.4V at 8.7A peak pulse current (10/1000μs waveform).
The device offers fast response time of less than 1.0ps from 0V to breakdown voltage, and typical leakage current below 1μA. It is rated for ESD protection up to 30kV air and contact per IEC 61000-4-2, and EFT protection per IEC 61000-4-4.
Packaged in a DO-214AA (SMB) surface mount package with gull wing terminals, the SMBJ43CA is suitable for general purpose protection of I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer applications. Operating temperature range is -65°C to 150°C.
