The SMBJ43A is a unidirectional Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diode from Littelfuse Inc. designed for surge and ESD protection in general purpose applications. It features a working peak reverse voltage of 43V with a minimum breakdown voltage of 47.8V and a maximum clamping voltage of 69.4V at the peak pulse current of 8.7A (10/1000µs waveform). The device can handle 600W of peak pulse power dissipation.
This TVS diode is housed in a DO-214AA (SMB) surface mount package with gull wing terminals, suitable for automated pick-and-place assembly. It operates over a temperature range of -55°C to +150°C and has a steady state power dissipation of 5.0W at a lead temperature of 75°C. The part is RoHS compliant and carries a Proposition 65 warning.
