The Littelfuse SMBJ36A is a 600W unidirectional TVS diode designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients. It features a Zener structure with a reverse standoff voltage of 36V and a clamping voltage of 58.1V at a peak pulse current of 10.4A (10/1000μs waveform). The device offers a fast response time of less than 1 ps and provides ESD protection up to 30kV (air and contact) per IEC 61000-4-2. It is housed in a surface-mount DO-214AA (SMB) package with J-bend leads, suitable for automated assembly. The operating temperature range is -65°C to 150°C. The SMBJ36A is ideal for protecting I/O interfaces, VCC buses, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer applications. It is halogen free and RoHS compliant (unverified).
