The SMBJ33CA is a bidirectional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode from Littelfuse Inc., designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients induced by lightning, ESD, and other surge events. It features a reverse standoff voltage (VRWM) of 33V and a maximum clamping voltage of 53.3V at a peak pulse current of 11.3A. The device can dissipate up to 600W of peak pulse power (10/1000µs waveform) and offers a typical response time of less than 5 picoseconds for bidirectional operation.
This TVS diode is housed in a surface mount DO-214AA (SMB) package, also referred to as supplier device package DO-214AA (SMBJ). It is suitable for general purpose applications and is rated for an operating temperature range of -65°C to +150°C. The part is RoHS3 compliant and has an MSL of 1 (unlimited).
Designed for use in power supply protection, data line protection, and general circuit protection in consumer, industrial, and telecommunications equipment. The SMBJ33CA provides reliable clamping of overvoltage transients while maintaining low leakage in standby mode.
