The SMBJ30A is a 600W unidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode from Littelfuse. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 30V and a clamping voltage of 48.4V at a peak pulse current of 12.4A (10/1000 μs). The device is designed for general purpose surge and ESD protection in surface mount applications.
This TVS diode uses Zener technology and offers a single unidirectional channel. It is housed in a DO-214AA (SMB) package with a supplier device package designation of DO-214AA (SMBJ). The operating temperature range is -65°C to 150°C (TJ), making it suitable for a wide range of environments.
Typical applications include protection against IEC 61000-4-2 ESD, IEC 61000-4-4 EFT, and IEC 61000-4-5 surge events. The device is RoHS3 compliant and has an MSL rating of 1 (unlimited).
