The SMBJ26A from Littelfuse is a unidirectional TVS diode designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events. It is part of the SMBJ series and is suitable for general purpose protection of I/O interfaces, VCC bus, telecom, computer, industrial and consumer electronics.\n\nKey electrical characteristics include a peak pulse power dissipation of 600W (10/1000µs waveform), a clamping voltage of 42.1V, and a peak pulse current of 14.3A. The device features Zener technology with fast response time typically less than 1ps from 0V to VBR min. It is unidirectional with one channel.\n\nThe TVS diode is housed in a DO-214AA (SMB) surface mount package with supplier device package DO-214AA (SMBJ). It operates over a temperature range of -65°C to 150°C (junction). The device is RoHS3 compliant, halogen free, Pb-free (E3), and meets MSL level 1 per J-STD-020.
