This Vishay General Semiconductor SMBJ24CD-M3/I is a bidirectional Zener transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode designed to protect sensitive electronic circuits from voltage transients. It provides 600W peak pulse power capability with a 10/1000 μs waveform, with a reverse standoff voltage of 24 V and a clamping voltage of 38.4 V at 15.6 A peak pulse current. The device offers very fast response time and low leakage current, making it suitable for general purpose protection in consumer, computer, industrial, and telecommunication applications. The diode is housed in a DO-214AA (SMB) surface mount package, ideal for automated placement, and operates over a temperature range of -55°C to 150°C. It is RoHS compliant, halogen-free (M3 suffix), and meets MSL level 1 per J-STD-020. Matte tin plated leads ensure solderability per J-STD-002.
