The SMBJ24CA from Littelfuse is a bidirectional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode from the SMBJ series. It offers 600W peak pulse power dissipation with a 24V reverse standoff voltage, 26.7V minimum breakdown voltage, and 38.9V maximum clamping voltage at 15.5A peak pulse current (10/1000µs waveform). This device is designed for general purpose surge protection in surface mount applications.
Mounted in a DO-214AA (SMB) package, the SMBJ24CA supports surface mount assembly and operates over a junction temperature range of -65°C to 150°C. It does not include power line protection. The component is RoHS compliant per the manufacturer's datasheet.
This TVS diode is suitable for use in computing, communications, and consumer electronics where board space is limited and reliable overvoltage protection is required.
