This Littelfuse SMBJ22CA is a bidirectional TVS diode from the SMBJ series, designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients. It offers 600W peak pulse power dissipation (10/1000µs waveform) with a reverse standoff voltage of 22V, minimum breakdown voltage of 24.4V, and maximum clamping voltage of 35.5V at 16.9A peak pulse current. The device features a fast response time of less than 1.0ps from 0V to VBR min.
This TVS diode is suitable for surface mount applications in a DO-214AA (SMB) package. It operates over a temperature range of -65°C to 150°C and is rated for high temperature reflow soldering up to 260°C/30sec. The terminal finish is matte tin lead-free plated, and the device is halogen free and RoHS compliant (Pb-free E3).
Typical applications include protection of I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronic equipment. The device is also recognized for compliance with UL 497B for data communications and fire-alarm circuits.
