The SMBJ18CA is a 600W bidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode from Littelfuse Inc. Designed for general purpose surge protection, it provides a reverse standoff voltage of 18V and a maximum clamping voltage of 29.2V at a peak pulse current of 20.6A (10/1000µs waveform). The device features a Zener diode structure and is rated for a peak pulse power of 600W minimum.
This TVS diode is suitable for protecting sensitive electronics from voltage transients. It is packaged in a DO-214AA (SMB) surface mount package, making it compatible with standard pick-and-place assembly processes. The operating temperature range is -65°C to 150°C.
