The SMBJ18A-13-F is a 600W peak pulse power transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surface mount applications. It offers a reverse standoff voltage of 18V and a clamping voltage of 29.2V at a peak pulse current of 20.5A (10/1000μs waveform). This unidirectional device provides excellent clamping capability for protecting sensitive electronics from voltage transients.
The device features a glass passivated die construction for reliability and is available in a DO-214AA (SMB) package. It supports a wide operating temperature range from -55°C to 150°C and is RoHS3 compliant with a lead-free finish. The SMBJ18A-13-F is halogen and antimony free, meeting green device standards.
Typical applications include protection of I/O interfaces, VCC buses, and other vulnerable circuits in consumer, industrial, and automotive electronics. The surface mount SMB package allows for automated assembly and space-efficient PCB layouts. The device is supplied in tape and reel packaging with 3000 pieces per reel.
