The SMBJ18A-13 is a 600W surface mount transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode from Diodes Incorporated, designed for general purpose circuit protection. It features a Zener diode technology with a reverse standoff voltage of 18V and a maximum clamping voltage of 29.2V at a peak pulse current of 20.5A. The device offers a peak pulse power dissipation of 600W (non-repetitive current pulse derated above TA=25°C) and can handle a peak forward surge current of 100A (8.3ms single half sine wave).
This unidirectional TVS diode is housed in a DO-214AA (SMB) package with transfer molded epoxy case material and solderable terminals per MIL-STD-202, Method 208. It operates over a temperature range of -55°C to 150°C and is suitable for surface mount assembly. The part is RoHS3 compliant and REACH unaffected, with a UL 94V-0 flammability rating for the plastic material.
