The Vishay Dale SMBJ17D-M3/H is a surface-mount Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diode designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients. It features a low profile SMB (DO-214AA) package, making it ideal for automated placement on printed circuit boards.
This device offers a 600W peak pulse power capability with a 10/1000 μs waveform. It has a clamping voltage of 27.2V and a working voltage range suitable for various applications. The TVS diode is designed for fast response times and excellent clamping capabilities, providing robust protection against inductive load switching and lighting surges.
Key features include a very tight VBR tolerance of ±3.5%, low leakage current, and suitability for both unidirectional and bidirectional applications (with CD suffix for bidirectional). The molding compound meets UL 94 V-0 flammability rating, and the terminals are matte tin plated for good solderability.
