The SMBJ160A is a unidirectional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode designed for general purpose surge and ESD protection. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 160V and a clamping voltage of 259V at 2.3A peak pulse current, with a peak pulse power dissipation of 600W. The device operates over a temperature range of -65°C to 150°C and is housed in a surface mount DO-214AA (SMB) package.
This component is suitable for a variety of overvoltage protection applications in consumer, industrial, and computing equipment. It is RoHS3 compliant and has an MSL rating of 1 (unlimited). The unipolar design provides one channel of protection with no power line protection feature.
