The Littelfuse SMBJ15CA is a bidirectional TVS diode designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events. It features a standoff voltage of 15 V and a clamping voltage of 24.4 V, with a peak pulse power dissipation of 600 W for a 10/1000 µs waveform.
This device offers excellent clamping capability with low incremental surge resistance and a fast response time of less than 1.0 ps from 0 V to the breakdown voltage. It is ideal for protecting I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronic applications.
The SMBJ15CA is housed in a surface mount DO-214AA (SMB) package with J-Bend leads, suitable for automated assembly. It is RoHS3 compliant, halogen free, and meets MSL level 1 per J-STD-020.
