The Vishay Dale SMBJ15A-E3/52 is a surface-mount Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diode designed for protecting sensitive electronics from voltage transients. It features a low profile DO-214AA (SMB) package, making it ideal for automated placement.
This TVS diode provides 600W of peak pulse power dissipation with a 10/1000 μs waveform. It has a working voltage range from 5V to 188V and a nominal clamping voltage of 24.4V at 24.6A. The device operates reliably across a wide temperature range of -55°C to 150°C.
Key features include its fast response time and excellent clamping capability, suitable for protecting ICs, MOSFETs, and signal lines in consumer, computer, industrial, and telecommunication applications. It is available in unidirectional configurations.
Designed for automated assembly, the SMBJ15A-E3/52 meets MSL level 1 requirements. Its construction utilizes a glass-passivated chip junction and matte tin-plated leads, solderable per J-STD-002.
