The SMBJ15A-13-F is a unidirectional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 15 V and a minimum breakdown voltage of 16.7 V, ensuring reliable clamping at 24.4 V (max) under peak pulse current conditions. With a peak pulse power dissipation of 600 W (10/1000 µs waveform) and a peak pulse current rating of 24 A, this device offers robust transient protection for general-purpose applications.
This TVS diode is housed in a surface-mount DO-214AA (SMB) package with molded plastic case material (UL 94V-0 rated) and matte tin terminal finish. It is rated for an operating temperature range of -55°C to +150°C. The device is unidirectional only, with a single channel, and is not intended for power line protection.
The SMBJ15A-13-F is supplied in tape and reel packaging with a standard quantity of 3000 units per reel. It is RoHS3 compliant, lead-free, and halogen-free, making it suitable for environmentally conscious designs. The moisture sensitivity level is Level 1 per J-STD-020, allowing unlimited floor life.
