The SMBJ15A from Littelfuse Inc. is a 600W unidirectional TVS diode designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients. It features a clamping voltage of 24.4V at a peak pulse current of 24.6A (10/1000μs waveform). The device offers a fast response time of less than 1ps from 0V to breakdown voltage, ideal for high-speed data line protection.
This TVS diode is housed in a surface-mount DO-214AA (SMBJ) package, suitable for compact PCB designs. It operates over a junction temperature range of -65°C to 150°C and meets RoHS3 and halogen-free requirements. The part is compliant with IEC 61000-4-2 ESD standards and UL 497B for data communication protection.
With low incremental surge resistance and typical leakage current less than 1μA, the SMBJ15A is reliable for protecting I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer applications. The package meets MSL level 1 and is rated for 260°C reflow soldering.
