The SMBJ150CA is a bidirectional TVS diode from Littelfuse designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events. It offers 600W peak pulse power capability at 10/1000μs waveform, with a clamping voltage of 243V at 2.5A peak pulse current. The reverse standoff voltage is 150V.
This device features fast response time of less than 1ps from 0V to VBR min, and provides ESD protection up to 30kV air and 30kV contact per IEC 61000-4-2. It also meets EFT protection per IEC 61000-4-4. Operating temperature range is -65°C to 150°C.
The SMBJ150CA is housed in a DO-214AA (SMB) surface mount package, suitable for automated assembly. It is halogen free, RoHS compliant, and has a Pb-free (E3) terminal finish. Typical applications include I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics.
