The SMBJ150A-13-F is a 600W surface-mount transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode from Diodes Incorporated, part of the SMBJ5.0(C)A – SMBJ200A series. It is designed to protect sensitive electronic circuits from voltage transients induced by lightning, inductive load switching, and electrostatic discharge.
This unidirectional device features a reverse standoff voltage of 150V and a minimum breakdown voltage of 243V. It can handle a peak pulse current of 2.5A (10/1000µs waveform) and a peak forward surge current of 100A (8.3ms half sine wave). The steady-state power dissipation is 5.0W at +75°C lead temperature.
The diode is packaged in a molded plastic SMB case (DO-214AA) with a matte tin finish, rated UL 94V-0 for flammability. It operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to +150°C and has an MSL of Level 1 (unlimited). The device is RoHS compliant, halogen- and antimony-free (Green), and suitable for general-purpose applications.
