The SMBJ13CA is a bidirectional TVS diode from the Littelfuse SMBJ series, designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients. It has a reverse standoff voltage of 13V and clamps transients to 21.5V at a peak pulse current of 28A (10/1000µs waveform). The peak pulse power dissipation is 600W, ensuring robust transient protection. The device features a fast response time of less than 1ps and typical leakage current under 1µA for breakdown voltages above 12V.
This TVS diode meets IEC 61000-4-2 ESD protection of 30kV (air and contact) and IEC 61000-4-4 EFT protection. It is suitable for protecting I/O interfaces, VCC bus lines, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer applications. The package is a surface-mount DO-214AA (SMB) with a low profile, ideal for space-constrained designs.
The SMBJ13CA is RoHS3 compliant, halogen free, and MSL level 1. It operates over a temperature range of -65°C to 150°C. The matte tin lead-free plating ensures reliable soldering and environmental compliance.
