The SMBJ120A is a 600W unidirectional TVS diode from Littelfuse Inc., designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients. It offers a reverse standoff voltage of 120V and a maximum clamping voltage of 193V at a peak pulse current of 3.1A (10/1000µs waveform). The device features a fast response time of less than 1.0ps from 0V to breakdown voltage.
This TVS diode is suitable for general-purpose applications including I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics. It is surface-mountable in a DO-214AA (SMBJ) package and operates over a temperature range of -65°C to 150°C.
The SMBJ120A is RoHS compliant, halogen free, and has a Pb-free E3 terminal finish with matte tin lead-free plating. It meets MSL level 1 per J-STD-020 and is UL recognized for data communications and fire-alarm circuit protection.
