The Vishay SMBJ110A-E3/52 is a surface-mount TRANSZORB transient voltage suppressor designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients induced by inductive load switching and lightning. It features a 600W peak pulse power capability with a 10/1000 μs waveform and a very fast response time.
Key electrical specifications include a reverse standoff voltage of 110V, a maximum clamping voltage of 177V at the peak pulse current of 3.4A, and a maximum peak forward surge current of 100A (8.3 ms single half sine-wave). The device is unidirectional with a single channel and is not intended for power line protection.
The SMBJ110A-E3/52 is housed in a DO-214AA (SMB) package with matte tin plated leads, suitable for automated placement.
