The SMBJ10A is a unidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode manufactured by Littelfuse Inc. It is designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients induced by lightning, ESD, and other surge events. With a reverse standoff voltage of 10V and a maximum clamping voltage of 17V, it provides effective clamping for 10V nominal voltage lines. The device can handle a peak pulse current of 35.3A (10/1000µs waveform) and dissipates 600W of peak pulse power. The typical response time is less than 1 picosecond from 0V to breakdown voltage. This TVS diode is housed in a DO-214AA (SMB) surface-mount package, suitable for automated assembly. It operates over a temperature range of -65°C to 150°C (junction). The part is RoHS compliant and has an MSL of 1 (unlimited). It is intended for general-purpose applications such as power supply protection, data lines, and I/O interfaces.
