The SMAT70A-13-F is a unidirectional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode from Diodes Incorporated, designed for general purpose circuit protection. It features a 70V reverse standoff voltage, a breakdown voltage range of 77.8V to 89.5V at 1mA, and a maximum clamping voltage of 100V.
This TVS diode can dissipate up to 400W of peak pulse power (10/1000µs waveform) and handle a peak pulse current of 3.5A. It is not intended for power line protection but is well suited for protecting sensitive electronics from transient overvoltages in low-voltage signal and DC power lines.
The device is housed in an industry-standard DO-214AC (SMA) surface mount package, with a cathode band polarity indicator. It operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 150°C and is rated MSL Level 1 per J-STD-020D. Packaging is tape and reel with a standard quantity of 5000 units.
