The SMAJ7.5A is a unidirectional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode from Littelfuse Inc., designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients induced by lightning, inductive load switching, and electrostatic discharge (ESD). It offers a peak pulse power dissipation of 400W (10/1000µs waveform) and a peak forward surge current capability of 40A (8.3ms).
The device features a reverse standoff voltage of 7.5V and a maximum clamping voltage of 12.9V at a peak pulse current of 31A. It is housed in a compact DO-214AC (SMA) surface mount package, suitable for automated assembly. The operating temperature range is -55°C to +150°C.
This TVS diode is commonly used in general purpose applications such as power supply protection, I/O interface protection, and portable electronics. It is RoHS compliant and REACH unaffected.
