The SMAJ6.0A is a unidirectional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients and ESD events. It offers a reverse standoff voltage of 6.0V and a clamping voltage of 10.3V at a peak pulse current of 38.8A. With a minimum peak pulse power dissipation of 400W (1ms pulse), it provides robust surge protection for general purpose applications.
The device features a fast response time of less than 1.0 ps from 0V to breakdown voltage, making it suitable for high-speed signal lines. It is housed in a surface mount DO-214AC (SMA) package, which is easy to handle with standard pick-and-place equipment. The operating junction temperature range is -65°C to 150°C, and the storage temperature range is -55°C to 150°C.
The SMAJ6.0A is RoHS3 compliant, meeting the requirements of the RoHS Directive 2015/863. It is ideal for use in portable communications, computing, video equipment, and other consumer electronics where circuit protection is critical.
